  • This is a lovely place to walk through native gardens and woodlands. There are informational signs posted throughout the paths and labels on plant species. In addition, there are guides stationed along the various paths to answer your questions. They have opened additional longer walking paths through fields adjacent to the original gardens and woodlands which include a small pond complete with turtles and frogs and butterfly gardens. For those interested, there is a tour through the main estate. If you're lucky, they have native plants on sale for $8. Highly recommend a visit!

  • We visited here father's day weekend while the hydrangeas were in full bloom. It was a nice walk but the heat cut our visit short. It was nice to view a brief video about the history of Mt Cuba and then tour the grounds. The kids enjoyed doing the scavenger hunt, spinning the "big seed", walking through the Forests and searching for frogs by the beautiful ponds. Our stay lasted about 3 hrs but could have done more like walked the open fields. We agreed that fall will be our next visit.

  • Outstanding nature center. As learners about native plants and how the whole ecosystem fits together, I don't know how we'd never visited this wonderful resource. We took advantage of the guided tour, only $3 extra, and it was well worth it. Then ate our picnic lunch (there is limited food on site, but no service), and wandered on our own. The whole property is 7 and 1/2 acres. So, small enough to see the whole thing. I want to come back in the spring when the spring trees and flowers are in bloom. This was established by a member of The Dupont family. A lot of money and resources went into creating and maintaining this beautiful location.

  • Amazing, caring, family friendly garden! We will be back. Mary Lou spent such a long time with our three-year old showing him frogs and turtles in the pond. He had a great time! Very safe for running around and expending toddler energy.

  • I am a big fan of native plants. So this place is really cool. A family who had enough money to do whatever they wanted decided to plant natives on their grounds. It is manicured beautifully like a japanese garden enhancing the natural beauty of these natives.
